Vil redde Danmark
Filmen vil blive genudsendt to gange henover weekenden.

Flemming

There appears to be a growing number who are aware and sensitive to the reality of the extreme that racism does exist in Denmark . However whenever the question of "is Denmark really racist” is asked (and it has been asked many times, by other countries over the last years) the general response is always the same. The response is always a categorical denial of any predominantly racist attitude in the society, some token foreigners are found to say they don’t experience any racism and feel well integrated, point the finger at Sweden a few times saying they are even worse, have a few debates where politicians cleverly evade the issues, and then just wait until the topic dies down.
Is it possible that the Danish society is wrong, and that the reality is that the way the foreign population has been and continues to be treated in a racist and exclusionary manner?
Is there a reason why Denmark is rated as 21 out of 28 of the worst at integration in Europe? Statistics indicate that people of ethnic backgrounds in Denmark are systematically excluded from the job market regardless of education and competence. Countless highly educated foreigners are reduced to taking menial work or relocate to another country where their competence is valued. Generations of children have been born in Denmark, who have ethnic backgrounds, but are born and raised in here, how do you explain the fact that they do not have the same rights and treatment as their Danish counterparts? How do they assimilate into the Danish culture when they are not referred to as Danish Turk or whatever, but instead are only referred to as a foreigner? When their chances of getting a training place or employment are many times less than their Danish “equal” , and are constantly portrayed in a negative light because of the behavior of a minority, how could they not feel discriminated against .
United Nations conventions, there is no distinction between the term racial discrimination and ethnic discrimination.
If the political jargon is true, and that most foreigners in Denmark are well integrated, don’t feel racially discriminated against, and have equal opportunity with their Danish counterparts… then I would like to see the survey and statistics that back that up. Those who are involved in the numerous integration organizations in Denmark know that the truth is, the prevalent Danish attitude towards foreigners has made the integration process an uphill battle.
Denmark is a wonderful and special country with a well organized and structured society and a social system which places its citizens well being as a priority. Its population is known for being open and tolerant, and welcoming. I have always admired the “down to earth” nature of the Danes, their integrity and will to “do the right thing”. Weather its ecology, human rights, equal rights, freedom of speech; you strive to do the right thing.
That is why I still have hope that Denmark will take an honest look at the possibility that the accusation of being racist (or at least appear to be by its treatment of a segment of its population) ,,, may be true.
I think Denmark can be an example for successful and productive integration, a society accepting of its multicultural aspects, and a sense of unity despite cultural differences. A country where cultural diversity and acceptance is strength, not a weakness.
I t can be done,,, but not before we stop denying that the racism is real, look at the root of the problems,… and start to do what it takes to correct them.
I have a dream ,,,, that my children and their generation grows up in a Denmark that they can be proud of, one where they truly are equal and treated equally , have the same opportunities, feel accepted, and are allowed to also be productive citizens.
Just in case there’s any doubt; “racism, racial discrimination, (discriminatory or abusive behavior towards members of another race)

I have to admit that I agree to a lot of what you said in your post, and thanks for having such a horrifying optimistic wish for this little-ass land, but iff I were you I wouldn't hold my breath.
I do however agree that a mob (gang) member shouldn't be left alone to do his and his boss' biddings, but let us not forget that they should be treated like their Danish rivals, don't you think? like those from Hells Angels, Bandidos, Grean Jackets(which I am not exactly sure of their existance, though they were pretty big in the 80's), and let us not forget the the infamous Nazis whom are extremely hidden among other Danish non-Nazis which is exactly my point. The racist Dane is like an invisible person, one would think that he/she is talking or dealing with a tolerant / educated and civilized Dane until "it" happens, as I, myself, have experienced many times and others like me have too. Today to be exact I was a witness to such racism. I was at THansen to get my scooter back 'cause it neede some repairs, as I was waiting in turn, I noticed that the attendant behind the counter was processing the first customer whom happened to be a wgite-Dane, then behind him stood a girl with a head cover(Hijab), I believe she was from Somalia, then as soon as the attendant was finished with his first customer, he looked at a tall guy (another white-Dane) who stood behind her, and call up to him. The girl looked at me and gave the look, like what kinda B.S. was that. Then after he finished with that guy he stated looking around and I was the only one left and I was giving him an angry look, then I think he was in trouble because he could not just do nothing or just leave the shop with me and her in it, so he decided to wait on her and process her order.
